Ask AI

Ask AI: query your customer data

Ask AI (in the Insights menu) lets you query everything Skalin knows about your customers in plain language. It works like a colleague who had read every customer exchange for years, and remembered them. Every answer relies on sources you can check in one click.

Rather than re-reading meeting notes or asking each CSM where their accounts stand, you ask the question once and get a well-argued answer, backed by verbatims and MRR.

# Asking a question

Go to Insights > Ask AI. The home page, Voice of Customer, offers two ways to start:

  • Pick a family to access ready-to-use prompts.
  • Write your own question in the input field at the bottom of the page, for example "Who have I already talked to about PDF export?" or "Which customers are waiting for the Salesforce integration?".

# Ready-to-use prompts

Click on a family to display the prompts written by Skalin. They help you think of the right questions, whether for in-depth analyses or for steering your week. To go back to the list of families, click on All families.

You will find the topic families from Signals, plus an extra family, Steering, dedicated to organizing your week.

# Making the most of an answer

# Keep working while the answer is generated

Once the question is sent, you do not need to wait: you can move to other pages in Skalin or open another conversation. When the answer is ready, a red dot appears next to the conversation in the Conversations list.

# Checking the sources

Ask AI's answers contain small numbers that point to the source of each statement. Click on a number to open the original data in a panel on the right.

# Continuing the conversation

You can reply to each answer to clarify, dig deeper or redirect the analysis, and build a full conversation.

# Creating tasks

When an answer highlights an issue to handle and no task exists yet, Ask AI can offer to create one. You just validate it: the analysis turns straight into action.

# Managing your conversations

The Conversations panel, on the left, lists all your conversations. Click on + New to start one.

Every conversation is private by default. By clicking on a conversation's three dots, you can:

  • Rename it.
  • Share it with your team or with all Skalin users in your company. A conversation shared with everyone shows the Global label.
  • Delete it.

Conversations created by a scheduled prompt are marked with a clock icon.

# Scheduling a question

Some questions come back every week. To receive the answer automatically, without asking again, click on the clock icon next to the input field.

Tip

Schedule "Accounts to act on this week" every Monday morning: your week starts with a ready-made list of priorities. Find more ideas and all the settings on the Scheduled prompts page.
